Posted by support on Mar 05, 2014

Who knew that high-end hair care could be found right in your very own kitchen? The basic nutritional needs for your locks are in everyday household foods, as long as you know which (and how much) ingredients to add.

There are many reasons to make your own beauty products - saving money and having fun top the list, but there is something to be said for knowing exactly what’s in your beauty products, as well. No parabens, sulfates or harsh salts here - just all-natural ingredients that are as good for your outer self as your inner self. Try one or four!

Rosy Avocado - For dry, limp hair.

Ingredients:
3 ripe avocados
5 drops lemon juice
3 tbsp. olive oil
3 tbsp. raw honey
handful of rose petals
1 cup millet flour

Marinate rose petals in olive oil overnight. Mash the avocados in a mixing bowl until smooth. Strain oil through sieve and blend with the avocado. Add lemon juice, honey and flour. Blend all ingredients into a paste, apply to hair and let sit for 15 minutes. Shampoo and condition as usual. Happy young woman applying hair mask in bathroom

Sunny Side Up - For split ends

2 eggs
1 cup milk
5 drops lemon juice
2 tbsp. olive oil

Separate the yolks from the egg whites. Discard the whites and beat the yolks until smooth. Add milk, lemon juice and olive oil. Whisk together with a beater and apply the mixture to hair. Let sit for 15 minutes and shampoo and condition as usual.

Sweet Yogurt - For oily hair

Ingredients:
½ cup full fat yogurt
1 tsp. apple cider vinegar
1 tsp. raw honey

Mix all ingredients together until smooth. Apply to hair and let sit for ten minutes. Rinse.
